Preparing homemade popsicles is a continuation of my "mission" how to motivate children to eat fruits.
My son loves classic white yogurt and his favorite breakfast is white yogurt with hazelnut butter and he has now also agreed to add a banana and sometimes oatmeal. It depends on how he wakes up :-) So I wanted to build on the ingredients he already likes and add to them some new ones.
We bought a silicone mold for popsicles, which is very practical for serving the finished popsicles.
You can put them in the freezer and in a few hours you will have a great dessert or snack!
The procedure is very simple and fast. I had my son prepare them and then I just added yoghurt, I didn't edit the photo in any way, so the photo of the popsicles is as he created it himself and he was proud of it :-)
Nutritional point
Blueberries
In addition to containing vitamin C, vitamin K and fiber, blueberries are also a source of manganese. Manganese is a mineral that the body takes only in small amounts, but is involved in the many important biological processes. For example, for building bones and tissues.
Yougurt
It's up to you whether you choose classic yogurt from cow's milk, goat's milk or, for vegans from vegetable milk like almond yogurt or my favorite coconut yogurt. By combining yougurt and fruits, you balance the component of sugars with the proteins and fats that yogurt contains. As a result, your energy will last longer, because the sugar will be absorbed gradually and your blood sugar level will not spike.
Directions
Mash the banana and mix it with the yogurt. This will give it a sweet taste and a better consistency.
In the silicone form, mix the ingredients with the fruit according to taste and mood.
I also prepared a mix with chia pudding for myself. Mix chia seminka with water or vegetable milk. Stir well and let stand in the refrigerator for a while.
Then just add to the other popsicles.
I mashed some fruits but did not mix them to preserve the fiber contained in the fruit.
Then add the handles to the prepared mixtures so that they can be eaten by hand and put them in the freezer overnight. Enjoy!
